Especially when it’s a blizzard from Dairy Queen with a combination of quality ice cream and tasty mix ins.

However, when you’ve got a family of 6- you can’t always justify a trip to the ice cream shop.

Even when a craving hits.

If you love Lucky Charms & milk, then this thick and creamy ice cream treat is going to blow your mind.

Everyone’s favorite marshmallow loaded cereal blended with ice cream!

Ingredients Needed

Making blizzards at home is easier than you’d think.

These rich and creamy copycats only require a handful of ingredients.

You’ll need:

  • Ice Cream – The base of this recipe requires roughly 2 cups of vanilla ice cream. You’ll want a high quality ice cream for this.
  • Milk – A little bit of milk to thin the ice cream and give it that famous texture that’s in between soft serve and regular ice cream. You can use any milk, but the higher the fat content the creamier the results.
  • Cream – Heavy whipping cream
  • Cereal – Obviously you want Lucky Charms brand cereal for these blizzards. Yes, you can use off brand- but when we tested it with a few different brands, it just didn’t deliver the same amount of the true Lucky Charms flavor.
  • Sprinkles – Rainbow colored jimmie style sprinkles, any brand.

Once you’ve gathered your ingredients, you’re ready to make a batch of Lucky Charms flavored easy homemade blizzards.

How To Make

These cereal flavored blizzards are easy to whip up in just a few minutes.

Start by adding the ice cream, milk, and heavy whipping cream to a high powdered blender.

Blend them together until smooth.

The mixture should be evenly combined, but still very thick.

Add both the cereal and sprinkles, and blend again until evenly combined and smooth.

Your lucky charms blizzard will have a fun blue hue.

Pour the mixture into one large glass, or divide it between two smaller glasses.

Add extra Lucky Charms cereal to the top- preferably heavy on the marshmallow bits.

Sprinkle with extra rainbow sprinkles.

Serve immediately and enjoy!

  1. I’m amazed, I must say. Seldom do I come across a blog that’s both equally educative and entertaining, and let
me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head.
The issue is an issue that too few folks are speaking intelligently about.
I’m very happy I came across this during my search for something relating to
    this.

  2. Love this! I’ve been wanting to do an ice cream night for my kids since they’ve been so good while we had our kitchen redone and cabinets painted. I gotta say though, I think I’ll love a blizzard just as much as them! Lol thanks for sharing!
