No Churn Hot Chocolate Ice Cream
No churn hot chocolate ice cream is the warm weather counterpart to your favorite winter treat. With this easy ice cream recipe, this one means you can get your cocoa fix all year long – no ice cream machine needed!

We love hot chocolate in the winter.
If we happen to run out of it, it’s a real-life crisis around here.
Just because the weather gets hotter in the middle of the year doesn’t mean we still don’t crave a big old batch of the good chocolate-y stuff.
Yes, we crave it even though, well, it is hot outside.
It’s not exactly refreshing when the daily temps are over 95 outside each day.
Thankfully, we’ve found a way to get our fix all year long with this no churn hot chocolate ice cream.

Rich, creamy ice cream that tastes just like your favorite hot chocolate AND that doesn’t require a churn?
That’s a win in my kitchen play book any summer day.
Don’t miss another sip of your favorite creamy chocolate dessert drink in a cup, ever again, even when the seasons change.
Just sit back, relax, and enjoy it cold!

Ingredients
To make this you’ll need:
- Heavy whipping cream– There’s no substituting lower fat dairy for this. Lower fat dairy will change the texture.
- Sweetened condensed milk– A 14 ounce can.
- Hot cocoa mix– 2 packets of your favorite kind.
- Marshmallows– Mini ones.

How to Make
No churn hot chocolate ice cream is so easy to make!
Just whip the cream in the bowl of a stand mixer until the cream is fluffy and makes stiff peaks.
Fold in the condensed milk, cocoa, and marshmallows with a spatula until everything is evenly incorporated.
Transfer the mixture into a metal loaf pan.

Bang the filled loaf pan on the counter 2 times to remove any trapped air bubbles.
Freeze the ice cream for at least 4 hours but up to overnight before serving.
Before eating, let the ice cream sit on the counter for 5 minutes to soften before scooping.

Storing
After it freezes, wrap the loaf pan well with plastic wrap to help prevent freezer burn or transfer the mixture to a freezer safe container.
Freeze for up to 3 months.

Tips and Tricks
- Keep the cream in the fridge until just before you use it to keep it nice and cold.
- I have found 2 packets is perfect but if you like it intensely flavored you could add an extra packet.
- If you have leftovers, tightly covering the ice cream will help prevent freezer burn.
