Why get delivery when you can have a gourmet pizza like this that delivers big flavor and satisfaction.
After a long day, the temptation is so high to give in and just order a pizza.
To be honest, so many times I do.
And then I feel bad about it.
But sometimes the son who works at a local pizzeria takes pity on dear old Mom.
He’ll whip up a fresh crust and hand toss it just like he does on the job.
Truth be told, I’m pretty sure he just likes to show off his pizza tossing skills, but hey I’m not arguing.
Then we play with toppings and come up with easy homemade gourmet.
And that’s this shrimp alfredo pizza.
I promise you it’s not like any pizza you’ve ever gotten from a pizzeria.
It’s better with its creamy Alfredo sauce, blend of cheese, spicy shrimp and did I mention crumbled bacon?
Try it! You’ll love it!

To make this you’ll need:
- Pizza dough– We often use our Easy Homemade Pizza Dough but will use store bought for a shortcut
- Butter
- Olive oil
- Garlic– Minced
- Onion– Finely chopped
- Shrimp– Small shrimp
- Creole seasoning– You could use Cajun seasoning instead. Use your favorite kind/
- Alfredo sauce– Your favorite brand
- Lemon juice– Fresh
- Cheese– A blend of Colby Jack and provolone
- Bacon– Cooked and crumbled
How to Make
To make this shrimp alfredo pizza, start by spreading the dough out onto a pizza pan making sure to stretch it out to the edges.
Poke holes in the dough with a fork.
If using homemade dough, partially bake it at 450 for 7 minutes, or if you are using store bought crust follow the instructions on the package for baking before topping.
Then melt the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Once the butter is melted. saute the garlic and onion for about 5 minutes or until the onions are soft, stirring occasionally.
Stir in the seasoned shrimp and cook for about 3-4 more minutes.
Turn off heat and stir in the lemon juice and parsley.
Now build the pizza, spreading the alfredo sauce out onto the prepared crust.
Top it evenly with the shrimp mixture.
Finish the pizza off by sprinkling it evenly with the cheeses and crumbled bacon.
Then bake the pizza at 450 degrees for 7-10 more minutes or until the cheese has melted.
Let cool slightly before cutting so the cheese doesn’t pull off.
Serve and enjoy!
Storing Leftovers
Store leftovers wrapped tightly in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Reheat in a hot oven until the pizza is warmed through and the cheese has melted again.
Tips and Tricks
- You could substitute chicken for the shrimp if you prefer for chicken alfredo pizza.
- Other cheeses would be delicious. You could try Parmesan or mozzarella in addition to or instead of the Colby Jack.
