We are very much a meat and potatoes family.

My boys are big eaters and these things keep them satisfied long enough for me to sit down between feeding times.

While meat and potatoes are standard fare in our home, I do like to play with the flavors of those basics.

I will do all sorts of things to potatoes to get some variety out of our meals from Syracuse salt potatoes to roasted pesto potatoes

These honey roasted red potatoes are another take on roasted potatoes with an addicting sweet and savory flavor combination that you will absolutely love!

Plus, they come together with little prep, making dinner a breeze.

How to Make

Making this potato side dish is so easy!

To do it, start by washing and quartering your potatoes.

Then, add them to a large baking sheet.

Drizzle the prepared potatoes with olive oil and honey and then sprinkle them with the dried onion, mustard and salt and pepper.

Give them a quick toss to coat them evenly.

Then, pop the seasoned potatoes into a 450 degree oven for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, carefully remove the tray from the oven and gently turn the potatoes.

Once you’ve turned the potatoes, return them to the oven and bake them for an additional 15 minutes or until tender.

Remove them from the oven and let the potatoes rest for a few minutes prior to serving.

Storing and reheating

Store any leftover roasted potatoes in an air tight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Reheat in the oven or by microwaving until warm.

The microwave will heat them up, but they won’t be as crispy as originally intended.

If you want to get that same crisp back, then go for the oven method.

Tips and Tricks

  • Can’t find red potatoes? Feel free to substitute fingerling potatoes or other baby potatoes instead.
  • Make sure the potato pieces are all roughly the same size so they cook evenly.
  • There’s no need to peel these potatoes first.

What to Serve with Honey Roasted Red Potatoes
