Ingredients
To make this you’ll need:
- Bread crumbs– Plain panko bread crumbs works best for crunchy coating and letting you season it to your liking.
- Spices– Salt, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, dried parsley, dried thyme, cayenne pepper, and smoked paprika
- Oil– Canola
- Chicken legs– Skin on.

How to Make
Making homemade Shake and Bake chicken is so easy!
Just add the bread crumbs and spices to a large ziplocking bag.
Seal the bag and squeeze it together or gently shake it to mix it together.
Set the seasoned bread crumbs aside.
Toss the oil with the chicken legs in a large mixing bowl to evenly coat the chicken in oil.
Add two pieces of chicken to the crumb bag.
Twist the top to close, then shake until they’re evenly coated.
Transfer them to a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
Repeat this with the rest of the chicken.
Bake the chicken legs at 375ยฐ for 35 minutes, or until the internal temp of 165ยฐ is reached.

- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

- 2 tbsp canola oil
- 8 skin on chicken legs
Instructions
- Line a large rimmed baking sheet with foil. Set aside.
- Add the bread crumbs, spices, and herbs to a large ziplocking bag. Squeeze together until evenly mixed. Set aside.2 cups plain panko bread crumbs, 2 tsp salt, 2 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp dried parsley, 1/2 tsp dried thyme, 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper, 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Add the chicken legs to a large mixing bowl. Drizzle the oil evenly out overtop, then gently toss until they're evenly coated in oil.2 tbsp canola oil, 8 skin on chicken legs
- Add two pieces of chicken to the crumb bag. Twist the top to close, then shake until they're evenly coated. Transfer them to the prepared baking sheet. Repeat until all the chicken's coated and on the baking sheet.
