Is it even brunch without a Bloody Mary?

I don’t think so.

And these deviled eggs are the perfect appetizer to put out at any brunch occasion since they have all the flavors of the drink.

It’s a tasty way to dress up the classic version of the appetizer and turn it into an unexpected bonanza of brunch flavors.

Ingredients

To make these you’ll need:

  • Hard boiled eggs– I like to make them in the air fryer.
  • Mayonnaise– Use real mayo and not low fat mayonnaise or Miracle Whip.
  • Cream cheese– Softened.
  • Bloody Mary seasonings– Tomato paste, spicy horseradish, lemon juice, worcestershire sauce, bacon bits, hot sauce
  • Spices– Celery seed, salt and pepper, and Old Bay seasoning
  • Sliced olives– For garnish

How to Make

Making Bloody Mary deviled eggs is no different than making the standard version with the exception of the added spices and flavors.

To make them, start by carefully cutting the eggs in half lengthwise.

Once they are cut, pop the yolks out into a waiting mixing bowl and set the empty whites aside.

Then, use a whisk to smash the yolks into tiny pieces and whisk in the mayo, cream cheese, tomato paste, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, bacon bits, hot sauce, celery seed, and salt and pepper.

Put the Old Bay seasoning onto a plate.

Dunk each empty egg white into the Old Bay so it covers the white and transfer them onto a serving platter.

Then, pipe or spoon the filling evenly into each egg.

Garnish with sliced olives and enjoy.

How to Fill Deviled Eggs

Yes, you can use a spoon and simply scoop the filling into the egg whites, but this method doesn’t make for the prettiest results.

To ensure pretty deviled eggs, I like to transfer the filling into a ziplocking bag and snip one corner off.

Then, pipe the filling into the egg whites and you’ll get pretty filled eggs each and every time.

Garnish Ideas

Just like the drink, you can have fun with toppings and garnish.

Aside from sliced olives you could also use:

  • celery slices
  • shrimp cocktail
  • a cherry tomato half
  • a pickle

Whatever you would use to a Bloody Mary with!

Can I make these ahead of time?

Yes, you can make these a day ahead of time and store them in an air tight container in the fridge until you are ready to serve them.

Storing Leftovers

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Tips and Tricks

  • To make it less spicy, use a milder horseradish and reduce the hot sauce.
  • These are yummy at times other than brunch as well.
  • You could even add several of these to a long skewer and top off a Bloody Mary with them as a garnish!
