There’s nothing like quality ice cream on a hot summer day.

And I love making them right at home- no ice cream maker required.

This no churn ice cream has tons of creamy Nutella flavor and a decadent ribbon of the chocolate hazelnut spread running through out.

Please excuse me while I drool in anticipation of enjoying this treat.

Ingredients

To make this you’ll need:

  • Heavy cream– Do not substitute this for a lower fat dairy product. You need the fat from the whipping cream to give this the right texture.
  • Coffee creamer– Hazelnut flavored.
  • Nutella
  • Sweetened condensed milk– Store bought or homemade.

How to Make

Like other no churn ice creams, this no churn Nutella ice cream is so easy to make!

Just whip the heavy cream in a stand mixer with the whisk attachment until soft peaks form.

Once stiff peaks form, whisk in the condensed milk on low speed followed by the coffee creamer and half a cup of the Nutella.

Once it’s combined, remove the ice cream base from the mixer and pour it into a 9×5 inch metal loaf pan.

Spoon on the remaining 1/4 cup of Nutella and use a spatula or a butter knife to swirl the Nutella into the ice cream.

Cover the ice cream tightly with plastic wrap and freeze it for 4-5 hours or until frozen.

Enjoy!

Storing

Store any leftover Nutella ice cream tightly wrapped in the loaf pan for up to a week in the freezer.

Or if you are looking for longer term storage, store the leftovers in a freezer safe air tight container.

It should last for several months- if you can go that long without eating it all!

Tips and Tricks

  • Make sure your ingredients are nice and cold when you are making the ice cream- except for the Nutella. Keeping that at room temperature will help it incorporate more easily.
  • While this recipe calls for hazlenut creamer, you could use mocha if you want to play up the chocolate flavor instead or split the difference and look for a chocolate hazelnut creamer.
  • If you like more texture in your ice cream, you could chop up some Ferrerro Rocher candies and add them to the Nutella swirl.

  1. I was having such a hard time finding no churn recipes that I finally gave in and bought a machine. But who can resist Nutella. I’ll give it a go.

  2. Yay an Ice-cream recipe that doesn’t use a machine!!! That is one thing I have always wanted but it doesn’t make the best travel companion, bit too big for my back pack. This Ice-cream however sounds perfect! Plus its nutella, even better! Yummo 🙂

  3. Yum!! Love that it is no churn! Thanks for sharing it with us at #FoodieFriDIY! Sending some foodie love your way!

  4. Finally an ice cream recipe that doesn’t need an ice cream maker! Only problem is, I am the one oddball person on the face of this planet that doesn’t like Nutella.

I know… flog me now, I’m a horrible no good person who deserves to suffer…

Can I substitute like, I don’t know caramel coffee creamer and peanut butter for the swirl or something?
