Creamy Crab Dip (Slow Cooker Recipe)

And one of my favorites is anything with lump crab.
It’s so rich and lightly sweet that I could eat it every day.
And this creamy crab dip is a slow cooker recipe every crab lover needs.
With a rich cream cheese mayonnaise base and the right amount of flavor from garlic, green onions, lemon juice, and seasoning, this crab dip makes anything you dip into it taste amazing!
It’s sure to be a hit any time you make it for a party, gathering, or even just a special night at home.
Ingredients
To make this you’ll need:
- Cream cheese– Let it soften to room temperature
- Cheddar cheese– Shredded
- Mayonnaise– Real, full fat mayonnaise
- Green onions– Thinly sliced
- Garlic– Pressed
- Lemon– A fresh lemon juiced
- Seasonings– Old Bay, hot sauce, and worcestershire sauce
- Lump crab meat– The kind you find in the refrigerated case in the seafood department and not the kind you find near the canned tuna
How to Make
This slow cooker crab dip is so easy to make!
To do it, stir together everything except the crab meat in the bowl of your slow cooker with a sturdy spoon.
Once the base of the dip is well mixed, gently fold in the crab meat.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
Before serving, stir to the dip well.
Serve warm with your favorite dipping options.

Storing Leftovers

- Don’t let the little bit of hot sauce scare you if you aren’t someone who likes heat. The dip is not spicy at all. It just adds a mild, slight peppery background.
- You want fresh lemon juice for this and not bottled. The difference in flavor is noticeable in this dip.

- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced green onions
- 3 cloves garlic pressed
- 1 lemon juiced
- 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
- 1 tsp hot sauce
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 lb refrigerated lump crab meat 16 ounces
Instructions
- Add the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, mayo, onions, garlic, lemon juice, old bay, hot sauce, and worcestershire to the bowl of a slow cooker. Stir together using a sturdy spoon until everything's mixed together well.2 8 oz blocks cream cheese, 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 cup thinly sliced green onions, 3 cloves garlic, 1 lemon, 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning, 1 tsp hot sauce, 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- Add the crab meat to the mixture and gently stir until incorporated.1 lb refrigerated lump crab meat
- Cover and cook on LOW FOR 2 1/2-3 HOURS.
- Stir well to evenly combine.
