Ingredients

  • 2 8 oz blocks cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced green onions
  • 3 cloves garlic pressed
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 lb refrigerated lump crab meat 16 ounces

Instructions

  • Add the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, mayo, onions, garlic, lemon juice, old bay, hot sauce, and worcestershire to the bowl of a slow cooker. Stir together using a sturdy spoon until everything's mixed together well.

  • Add the crab meat to the mixture and gently stir until incorporated.

  • Cover and cook on LOW FOR 2 1/2-3 HOURS.
  • Stir well to evenly combine.
  • Serve warm with favorite dipping options.

Notes

  • When stirring the crab meat into the dip, make sure to stir gently to keep the pieces of the meat as intact as you can.
  • Don't let the little bit of hot sauce scare you if you aren't someone who likes heat. The dip is not spicy at all. It just adds a mild, slight peppery background.
  • You want fresh lemon juice for this and not bottled. The difference in flavor is noticeable in this dip.
