How to Make

To make these, start by boiling the beans in a pot of rolling boiling water.

Let the beans boil for 5-7 minutes to your preferred level of doneness.

When the beans are cooked to your liking, drain the beans immediately and transfer them to a waiting ice bath to stop the cooking.

While the beans are in the ice bath, pour the dressing into a large skillet set over medium low heat.

Warm the dressing heat up, stirring often, until it’s hot.

Stir 2 tablespoons of the cheese into the skillet, stirring until melted.

Add the beans to the skillet, tossing to coat, and remove the skillet from heat.

Season with freshly cracked black pepper, to taste.

Sprinkle the rest of the Parmesan evenly out overtop the beans.

Serve and enjoy!

Tips and Tricks

  • As is, this is a fantastic side dish. You can however make it a meal by sautéing chicken or shrimp in the dressing before you add the green beans to the skillet.
  • Want to make it even heartier? Add some crispy bacon.
  • While this is a side dish, you could turn this into a big salad as well by tossing them with romaine dressing and croutons.
