Cranberry Mimosas
Cranberry mimosas are a festive Christmas drink perfect for sipping on as you unwrap your gifts Christmas morning. Just 2 ingredients and these pretty drinks are yours!
Is there anything more festive than sipping on a holiday cocktail while you unwrap your presents in a room full of family and friends?
I can’t think of anything.
And these cranberry mimosas are the easiest, prettiest, tastiest cocktail for the holidays.
Because of their deep pink color, sometimes you will hear them called poinsettia cocktails.
And of course if you called them Christmas mimosas, I would know exactly what you were talking about.
So cheers to the holiday season with this festive drink, no matter what you call it!
Ingredients
To make these you’ll need:
- Champagne– Any white sparkling wine
- Cranberry juice– Get the kind that’s 100% cranberry and not cranberry juice cocktail.
- Optional garnishes– Fresh cranberries and rosemary sprigs
How to Make
Cranberry mimosas are as easy as pouring a glass of champagne!
To do it, just pour the cranberry juice into your champagne glass.
Top the cranberry juice with champagne.
Garnish the Christmas mimosas with cranberries and a sprig of rosemary .
Enjoy!
Can I make these cranberry mimosas ahead of time?
I would not make them ahead of time because the champagne is carbonated.
If you make them ahead, it could go kind of flat which wouldn’t make for a very enjoyable drink.
Tips and Tricks
- I suggest using 100 percent cranberry juice because the cranberry cocktail juices often overpower the delicate champagne. But if you don’t mind this, go right ahead and use what you like.
- Use any bubbly white wine you like. I’d avoid pink or red sparkling wines.
- Chill the cranberry juice and champagne ahead of time.
