Because of their deep pink color, sometimes you will hear them called poinsettia cocktails.

And of course if you called them Christmas mimosas, I would know exactly what you were talking about.

So cheers to the holiday season with this festive drink, no matter what you call it!

Can I make these cranberry mimosas ahead of time?

I would not make them ahead of time because the champagne is carbonated.

If you make them ahead, it could go kind of flat which wouldn’t make for a very enjoyable drink.

Tips and Tricks

  • I suggest using 100 percent cranberry juice because the cranberry cocktail juices often overpower the delicate champagne. But if you don’t mind this, go right ahead and use what you like.
  • Use any bubbly white wine you like. I’d avoid pink or red sparkling wines.
  • Chill the cranberry juice and champagne ahead of time.
