TikTok does it again.

I find so many tasty food trends on there, that I will never stop using the app.

No matter how many times my teen sons roll their eyes at me.

They don’t roll their eyes at these Big Mac smash tacos though!

How could they when it’s the perfect mash up of two of their favorite foods: Big Macs and tacos?

It’s such a favorite that they may even swallow their embarrassment that mom is on TikTok!

Ingredients

To make these, you’ll need:

  • Ground Beef– Go for 90/10. You don’t want anything fattier or the patties will be too greasy.
  • Tortillas– Flour soft taco sized tortillas.
  • Cheese– Sliced American
  • Toppings– Shredded iceberg lettuce, diced onion, thousand island dressing, and pickles
  • Salt and pepper

How to Make

Making these Big Mac smash tacos is easy!

Just split the meat up into 8 equal portions and spread each portion of meat on a tortilla in a thin layer.

Season the meat with salt and pepper to taste.

Then, heat a medium skillet over medium heat.

Cook the beef for 2-3 minutes until the beef is cooked through and browned.

Once the beef is cooked, flip the tortilla over and let cook 30 seconds on that side.

Storing Leftovers

I don’t recommend planning a night of leftovers with these Smash Burger tacos.

The tortillas will get a bit soggy in the fridge if you store them.

However, you can safely keep them in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

It’s best to store leftovers without the toppings on them.

I highly recommend reheating them on the stovetop in a frying pan over medium heat to crisp the tortilla up a bit.

Tips and Tricks

  • You don’t have to just season the meat with salt and pepper. A sprinkle of burger seasoning, dry barbecue rub, garlic powder, or whatever other seasoning you like would be good!
  • Don’t limit yourself to the suggested toppings. Use your favorite toppings!
  • These are fantastic with low carb tortillas if you are watching carbs.
