- Lime– The zest of one lime along with 3/4 cup of fresh lime juice
- Vanilla extract– The real stuff not imitation
- Graham cracker pie crust– Broken into pieces but not crushed
How to Make
Making this no churn key lime pie ice cream is so easy!
To do it, whip the heavy cream with a hand mixer in a large mixing bowl until stiff peaks form.
In a second bowl, stir together the sweetened condensed milk, zest, juice, and extract.
Slowly pour the milk mixture into the whipped cream while stirring together until evenly combined.
Then fold in the crushed pieces of graham cracker crust until evenly distributed.
Pour the ice cream mixture into a 9×5″ metal loaf pan and spread it out into an even layer.
Sprinkle the extra lime zest and graham crackers pieces evenly overtop.
Pop the filled loaf pan into the freezer for at least 4 hours or up to overnight.
When you’re ready to serve it, let it soften for 2-3 minutes on the counter.
Scoop, serve, and enjoy!
Storing Leftovers
Transfer any leftover ice cream into an air tight freezer safe container and store it in the freezer for up to a month.
Tips and Tricks
- If you can find key limes, you can use them instead of regular limes. But remember key limes have a more intense citrus flavor, so you may not want to use quite as much lime juice.
- Don’t crush the pie crust. You want nice big pieces sort of reminiscent of the Oreo pieces in cookies and cream.
- Make sure to let the ice cream soften on the counter so it is easier to scoop!
