Brownie Batter Dip
Brownie batter dip is a creamy, chocolatey dessert you can whip up in no time at all. This easy spread is perfect for any party, movie night, or just to satisfy a sweet tooth.
I’ll let you in on a dirty little secret.
Brownie batter is far superior to actual brownies.
At least in my humble opinion.
I’ve been known to mix up brownie batter and eat it by the spoonful without caring that I’m technically supposed to bake them.
This dip puts all that brownie batter goodness into an easy dessert that’s safe to eat and totally delicious.
Ingredients
To make this you’ll need:
- Brownie mix– Use your favorite variety of box mix.
- Cream cheese– Full fat cream cheese is best. Let it soften before you use it.
- Butter– Unsalted, softened butter.
- Frozen whipped topping– Like Cool Whip. Let it thaw before using it.
- Milk– Whole milk is best but any kind will work.
- Toppings– Mini chocolate chips, sprinkles, nuts, or even chocolate candies.
How to Make
To make this chocolate dessert dip, mix the cream cheese and butter together in a large mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
Then blend in the whipped topping until everything is evenly combined.
Mix the brownie mix into the batter base in two equal batches, mixing each time just until combined evenly.
After the brownie mix is incorporated, mix in the milk, a tablespoon at a time, until the dip reaches the desired consistency.
Scoop into a serving bowl and top with toppings.
Serve and enjoy!
Dipping Ideas
You can dip so many things into this. A few of our favorites are:
- strawberries
- banana slices
- Oreos
- animal crackers
- pretzels
- graham crackers
- Nilla wafers
What would you dunk into this?
Can you make this dip ahead of time?
Yes, you can make it the night before.
After mixing it together, cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate it until 30 minutes prior to serving.
Then remove it from the fridge and let it soften on the counter.
Transfer it to a serving bowl and enjoy.
Storing Leftovers
Wrap the leftover dip tightly with plastic wrap and store it up to 3 days in the fridge.
Prior to serving again, let it soften on the counter for 30 minutes.
Tips and Tricks
- When you add the brownie mix, begin mixing at low speed to prevent loose powder fry flying up and out of the bowl. You can increase the speed, as needed, as it incorporates.
- You could sub freshly whipped heavy cream for the Cool Whip.
- Add the milk a tablespoon at a time until it reaches the desired consistency. You may not need the full amount or you may need a little more.
