My boys and I have a serious soft spot for certain cereals…

namely Fruity Pebbles.

We could eat dry straight out of the box.

And confession: we have.

But there’s no better way to enjoy it than coating pieces of fluffy French toast.

Ingredients

To make this, you’ll need:

  • Bread– Slices of sandwich bread. You could also use thin slices of bakery bread.
  • Batter ingredients– Eggs,  milk (go for full fat for the best taste), sugar, and vanilla extract.
  • Fruity Pebbles– Crush them.

How to Make

This is so easy to make!

To do it, whisk the eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla together in a flatter mixing bowl or baking dish.

Add the crushed Fruity Pebbles to a second wide bowl.

Spray the basket of your air fryer with cooking spray.

Then, dip each slice of bread in the egg mixture, making sure each side is covered.

After the bread is coated in the egg batter, place the slices of bread in the crushed Fruity Pebbles, making sure both sides are completely covered.

Put the coated bread in your greased air fryer basket, making sure it doesn’t touch another slice.

Air fry the French toast at 350ºF for 4 minutes. Flip bread and air fry for an additional 3 minutes or until French toast is done.

Why Make French Toast in the Air Fryer?

A few reasons!

Making it in the air fryer saves you the added calories from the butter you’d use on the stove top.

And you get perfectly cooked pieces of French toast without having to worry about watching it on the stovetop.

Plus, they French toast will all cook evenly and you won’t have one that’s too done in some parts and not done enough in others.
