We all argue over the holiday meals.

Anything loaded with veggies is a hard no from the hubs and the sons.

But this cheddar bacon ranch quiche in on this year’s holiday brunch list and there’s no argument from anyone.

It’s a family favorite that never gets old– everyone looks forward to their slice of this pie.

After all, it is “crack quiche.”

What’s crack quiche?

No friends, no nefarious substances included, just a fun term used to describe the ‘addicting’ flavor!

Crack quiche is a play on crack chicken.

You know? The slow cooked chicken loaded with cheddar, bacon, and ranch.

Well, this quiche doesn’t have any actual chicken it but it does have all the cheddar, bacon, and ranch flavors that make that chicken as addicting as well….

This particular quiche has a buttery, flaky pie crust as the base nestled under a trio of sharp cheddar, crisp crumbled bacon, and ranch dressing that we’ve lovingly folded into soft, fluffy eggs.

Ingredients

To make this you’ll need:

an overhead image showing the measured ingredients needed to make a cheddar bacon ranch quiche

  • Pie crust– A 9 inch pie crust
  • Bacon– Cook it up crisp and crumble it
  • Cheese– Shredded sharp cheddar
  • Eggs– Can’t really make quiche without them!
  • Milk– Whole is best, but 2 percent will work. Just don’t use skim!
  • Cream– No substituting! The cream makes it rich!
  • Ranch dressing– Either your favorite store bought variety or homemade ranch dressing.

How to Make

This quiche is so easy- especially when you consider what an impressive dish it is!

To make it, gently press the pie crust evenly into a 9 inch pie dish.

Crimp, pinch, or otherwise decorate the edges at the top if desired.

Then, spread the bacon evenly out over the bottom of the pie crust, followed by a layer of shredded cheese.

Next, whisk together the eggs, milk, cream, and dressing in a medium bowl until the mixture’s smooth and evenly combined.

Pour the egg mixture evenly out over bacon and cheese.

Then wait about 30 seconds for the mixture to ‘settle’.

Bake the quiche at 375 degrees for 40-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean and the top is golden brown.

Remove the quiche from the oven and allow it to rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Enjoy!

What to Serve with Quiche

We often serve it with fruit salad and a tall glass of orange juice if it’s for breakfast.

For holiday breakfasts, I love pairing it with mimosas!

And for brunch or dinner, it pairs very well with a side salad or your favorite roasted veggies.

Storing Leftovers

Leftover quiche stores very well and this cheddar bacon ranch quiche is no exception.

To store it, let it cool completely to avoid the pie crust from getting soggy.

Then put it in an air tight container and refrigerate for up to 4 days.

Can I freeze quiche?

Yes!

Quiche freezes very well.

Just let the cooked quiche cool completely to avoid it getting soggy.

Then wrap it tightly in foil and place it in a large freezer safe bag.

It should last in the freezer for up to 3 months.

When you are ready to eat it, defrost it overnight in the fridge and then bake at 375 until warmed through.

  1. There is not enough quiche around! And with bacon as well?! What is there not to love? It looks great and I agree a perfect brunch dish! Even if I would happily had a slice at dinner as well. Happy FF 🙂
