Is there a better sandwich than a BLT?

Salty bacon, sweet tomatoes, and crisp lettuce are a match made in heaven.

And the boys and I eat them all the time.

We are mildly obsessed.

So anytime there’s a way to enjoy that classic combo I am all about it.

This dip combines all the classic BLT flavors in a smooth, creamy dip perfect for dunking chips or pieces of crusty baguette into.

Ingredients

To make this you’ll need:

  • Cream cheese– Full fat softened cream cheese
  • Sour cream– Full fat
  • Mayonnaise– Use real full fat mayonnaise and avoid mayonnaise style dressing.
  • Ranch seasoning– The kind that comes in a packet
  • Lettuce– Shredded romaine
  • Tomatoes– Chopped and seeded
  • Bacon– Cooked crisp and crumbled
  • Green onions– Thinly sliced

How to Make

Making this dip is so easy!

To do it, add the cream cheese, sour cream, and mayo to a mixing bowl.

Beat it together with an electric hand mixer until smooth and then mix in the ranch.

Spread the dip base out in the bottom of a wide shallow bowl.

Then layer the remaining BLT ingredients on top starting with the lettuce and ending with the green onions.

Serve with your favorite dippers and enjoy!

Dipping Ideas

We like to dip:

  • crackers
  • tortilla chips
  • pretzels
  • pieces of toasted baguette
  • carrot and celery sticks
  • cucumber slices

Can I make this ahead of time?

Sort of!

The dip part can be made up to a day ahead of time, covered with cling wrap, and refrigerated.

Make sure you don’t add the toppings until you are ready to serve.

Storing Leftovers

Store leftovers in an air tight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Is this a hot BLT dip or a cold dip?

This is a cold dip!

Don’t bake it.

Tips and tricks

  • You can change up the seasoning to your preferences.
  • Softening the cream cheese on the counter will make it much easier to mix the base.
  • Feel free to omit the green onions if desired.
