Monster Cookie Dough Cheese Ball
A monster cookie dough cheese ball takes the flavors from loaded monster cookies and puts it into a spreadable no bake dessert. The perfect finish for any party!
If you’ve been following this site awhile then you might know I am deeply involved with cheeseballs.
I love them all.
Dessert cheeseballs like this one, savory appetizer ones, fun seasonal variations.
But this monster cookie dough dip version has to be one of my favorites.
It loads all the goodness of monster cookies into one delicious, creamy dip or spread without the hassle of baking anything.
Doesn’t get any better than that, right?
What is a monster cookie?
Monster Cookies are a combo of peanut butter, oats, chocolate chips and M&Ms. Some versions add in other flavors too, but in this dip we’re keeping it classic.
Ingredients
To make this you’ll need:
- Butter– Unsalted, room temperature butter.
- Cream cheese– Full fat, room temperature cream cheese.
- Peanut butter– Creamy, not chunky, and make sure you aren’t using a natural peanut butter variety as they separate.
- Vanilla extract– Real not imitation vanilla.
- Sugar– Both brown and powdered.
- Oats– Make sure you are using quick oats and not a different variety.
- Chocolate- Both mini chocolate chips and mini M&M’s.
How to Make
To make this start by creaming together the softened butter, softened cream cheese and peanut butter with a hand mixer in a mixing bowl.
Then, mix in the vanilla extract and brown sugar until evenly combined.
After this, use a spatula scrape the sides of the bowl.
Then, add the powdered sugar and oats to the bowl, and use the hand mixer to whip the cheese ball mixture together until evenly combined.
Fold the chocolate chips and half of the M&M’s into the mixture.
Now make the ball using your hands to gently mold the dough. Transfer it to a plate or cutting board.
Press the remaining candies into the top and sides of the cheese ball until it’s completely covered.
Cover the cheeseball with plastic wrap and chill for 1-2 hours before serving.
Serve with your favorite dippers and enjoy!
Dipping Ideas
You can serve this with any of your favorite dippers like:
- Pretzel sticks
- Graham crackers
- Cookies
- Strawberries
- Ritz crackers
Storing Leftovers
If you have any leftover, you can store it in your fridge for up to 3 days if you wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and seal it in an air tight container.
Tips and tricks
- You can change the colors of M&M’s to match season or holiday.
- Don’t want a cheese ball? You could add the cookie dough to a bowl and sprinkle some of the candies on top for garnish or omit them entirely.
- When you mix in the candy and the chocolate chips do not use your mixer. You will break the candies.
