Bake the bread slices at 250 degrees F for 50-60 minutes or until the bread is lightly golden brown and very dry.

Don’t be surprised if the bread doesn’t look visibly toasted on top because the bottoms will have become a gorgeous golden brown and the whole slice will have dried out.

Take the pan out of the oven and let the bread cool completely.

Break the cooled bread up into pieces, then add it to the bowl of a food processor fitted with the blade attachment.

Pulse it until it turns into fine crumbs.

Storing

Store in an airtight container on the counter for up to 1 month.

You can also transfer it to a freezer safe container and freeze them for up to 6 months.
