How to Make

Honey pecan cream cheese spread is very easy to make!

Start by toasting the pecans.

To do this, spread the pecan pieces out in an even layer on a rimmed baking sheet and bake them at 350° for 5 minutes, shaking half way through.

Carefully remove the hot pan from the oven, and set it aside to cool.

Then whip the cream cheese and honey together a mixing bowl with a hand mixer until the mixture is evenly combined, light, and fluffy.

Fold in the cooled nuts with a sturdy spatula until they are evenly distributed.

Cover the bowl and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Use and enjoy!

My favorite ways to serve it are:

  • dolloped on roasted sweet potatoes
  • as a dip for fruit

Storing

Store this spread in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Keep it chilled between servings.

Remember the spread will firm up in the fridge so let it sit at room temperature for about 10 to 15 minutes before serving so it’s easier to spread.

Tips and Tricks

  • Toasting the pecan pieces is an optional step, but one I highly recommend since it deepens the flavor of the pecans.
  • Add a little extra into this by stirring in some cinnamon or pumpkin spice for a fall flavor. You can also stir in bits of dried apples, raisins, or craisins for a little extra fruity action.
  • It’s really important to let the block of cream cheese soften on the counter before you make this. It helps everything incorporate much more easily and more evenly if it’s soft.
