Frozen S’mores Recipe
This frozen s’mores recipe gives the classic campfire treat a cool makeover! A mixture of creamy frozen chocolate fluff pudding and marshmallow filling gets sandwiched between graham crackers.
A lot of people think s’mores mean summer.
I’m sort of team fall for s’mores though.
Not that I don’t love the classic graham cracker, chocolate, marshmallow combo because I definitely do.
What I don’t love is roasting marshmallows around a fire on a hot, humid Southern summer evening.
No thanks.
We don’t need to add more heat to this situation.
So why not turn the campfire treat into a cool frozen ice cream sandwich like situation instead?
No campfire required and no extra sweat happening!
Ingredients
To make these you’ll need:
- Graham Cracker Squares– 40 of them or about 2 sleeves
- Chocolate Pudding Mix– 2 3.9 ounce boxes of instant chocolate pudding
- Milk– Doesn’t matter if you use whole, skim, etc.
- Frozen Whipped Topping– Like Cool Whip. Divided.
- Cream Cheese– Softened to room temperature.
- Marshmallow Fluff– A 7.5 ounce jar
How to Make
This frozen s’mores recipe is easier to make than starting a campfire!
Just lay the half the graham crackers evenly along the bottom of a parchment lined 9×13 pan.
Then whisk together both packages of chocolate pudding mix and milk in a medium bowl.
Fold in half the whipped topping to the chocolate pudding.
Spread the chocolate mixture on top of the graham crackers.
Put the dish in the freezer while you make the next layer.
Beat the cream cheese with an electric hand mixer until it’s smooth and fluffy in a clean bowl.
Mix in the marshmallow fluff.
Then fold in the remaining Cool Whip.
Spread the marshmallow mixture over the chocolate layer.
Close the frozen s’mores with the remaining graham crackers and return to the freezer for 4 hours.
Lift the smores out by the parchment then carefully slice into bars between the graham crackers.
Enjoy!
Storing
If you are planning to store these for more than 4 hours, cut them into bars, wrap each bar in parchment paper and store in a freezer safe bag.
Freeze for up to a month.
Tips and Tricks
- You could add even more flavor to the frozen s’mores bars by dipping half of the assembled bar into melted milk chocolate and popping it back into the freezer while the chocolate sets.
- It helps to let the Cool Whip thaw before mixing it into the pudding and the marshmallow mixture.
- You could add a teaspoon of vanilla extract to the marshmallow mixture if you are feeling fancy.
