Copycat Frosty Paws Dog Treats

Even though our dogs are very near and dear to my heart, I couldn’t bring myself to continue to pay the high costs just for a bag of frozen dog treats.

Especially when I read the ingredient list and realized how simple, easy peasy it would be to make my own.

Now our dogs are happy, healthy, and not nearly as hot after a romp outside.

These Frosty Paws frozen dog treats are really versatile as well and easily adaptable for your furry friends so you know you’ll be able to treat them!

Ingredients

To make these you’ll need:

  • Yogurt– I’ve used plain, strawberry, and vanilla
  • Banana– A mashed ripe banana. You could also substitute a baby food jar of fruit.
  • Peanut butter
  • Honey

And you’ll definitely want an ice cube tray and a blender.

How to Make Frozen Dog Treats

Just pop all the ingredients in a mixer or a blender until evenly combined.

Spoon the batter into the ice cube trays.

Freeze until solid.

Pop the frozen dog treats out of the ice cube holders and store in a ziplocking bag in your freezer.

Give to your pet and watch their doggy smiles and tail wags!

Storing

Store these in a ziplocking bag in the freezer for up 6 months.

Tips and Tricks

  • You could use other yogurt flavors, just make sure they are flavors that are safe to feed dogs.
  • While the recipe I’ve given you today is how I make them most often, I have added finely ground chicken and chicken broth to the mixture.
  • I’ve also included pulverized egg shells as a calcium supplement with great success.

Ingredients

  • 32 oz yogurt I've used plain, strawberry, and vanilla before
  • 1 mashed ripe banana or 1 baby food jar of fruit
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • ice cube tray

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients in a mixer or a blender until evenly combined.
    32 oz yogurt, 1 mashed ripe banana, 2 tbsp peanut butter, 2 tbsp honey
  • Spoon the batter into the ice cube trays.

  • Pop out and store in a zip locking bag in your freezer.
  • Give your fur-baby a treat!
