How to Make
This cheeseburger gnocchi skillet is a one pot wonder!
To make it, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Once the butter melts, add the uncooked gnocchi to the pan and stir it to break it up into a single layer.
Cook the gnocchi for about 2 minutes, until it’s lightly toasted on one side then turn it and toast the second side.
Remove the gnocchi from the pan and set it aside on a waiting plate.
Turn up the heat to medium high and let the skillet get nice and hot.
Then add the beef and onion to the hot skillet, stirring to break it up.
Season the beef with salt and pepper and then stir in the cumin, paprika, mustard, and garlic until evenly combined.
Keep cooking, stirring occasionally, until the ground beef is cooked and no pink remains.
Drain the beef and return it to the pan.
Stir in the tomatoes, broth, and gnocchi to the beef mixture.
Bring the mixture to a rolling boil, and then immediately reduce the heat to a simmer.
Cover the pan and let it simmer about 5-7 minutes, or until the gnocchi are completely cooked and most of the liquid’s been absorbed.
Then, take the lid off the pan and remove the pan from heat.
Let it rest 1-2 minutes and stir in the cream and 3/4 cup of cheese until evenly combined and the cheese is melted.
Sprinkle the remained cheese evenly out over the skillet then sprinkle on half of the green onions.
Place the skillet under a broiler, watching carefully, just until the cheese is melted and golden brown on top.
Remove the skillet from the oven, and let the mixture rest for another minute.
Scoop onto plates, top with the remaining green onions, and serve immediately.
Enjoy!

Tips and Tricks
- Make sure you are using leaner ground beef at least 85/15. This will prevent it from cooking down too much and being too greasy.
- While we enjoy the green onions, don’t worry if you don’t have them. It’s ok to skip them.
- You can substitute any shredded cheese you enjoy.
