Set the filling aside.

Then open the package of crescent rolls but don’t unroll them.

Instead keep them in their rolled up ‘log’ shape and use a serrated knife to cut the ‘log’ into 12 equal coined slices.

Place the coins onto a baking sheet that you’ve lightly sprayed with nonstick spray.

Make a shallow, circular well in the center of each with your thumb.

Storing Leftovers

These are best enjoyed fresh but you can store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 to 3 days.

You can also let them cool to room temperature and put the chilled danishes in a freezer safe bag and freeze them for up to 3 months.

When you are ready to enjoy one, just take it out of the bag and reheat it until warm.

Tips and Tricks

  • You can substitute raspberries, blackberries or even sliced strawberries for the blueberries.
  • For a little extra sweetness, you can sprinkle some granulated sugar on the warm danishes immediately after they come out of the oven.
  • Make sure to let them set for a few minutes before serving so the cream cheese filling doesn’t leak out all over the place when you bite into it.
