How to Make

To make this yummy dessert, start by preparing your cake mix according to the directions on the package.

Then bake the cake mix in a 9×13 baking dish according to cook times listed.

Once the cake is done, take the cake out of the oven and let it cool.

When the cake is still warm, but not hot, use a fork to poke holes evenly over the surface of the cake.

Then pour the caramel ice cream topping over the cake, spreading it with a spatula so it can seep evenly into the holes.

Now let the cake cool completely to absorb all the caramel.

When the cake is completely cool, spread the frosting out over top of the cake.

Then sprinkle the chopped candy bars over the frosting.

Finish the cake by drizzling chocolate syrup and caramel syrup over the cake.

Cut and serve. Enjoy!

Don’t you use a wooden spoon to poke holes for poke cake? Why use a fork instead?

Don’t use the handle of a wooden spoon for holes in this cake.

The holes will be too big for the thinner caramel syrup.

In a pudding poke cake, the pudding firms up enough to set in the holes and fill them.

With this Snickers cake, the caramel syrup is too thin and won’t set in a larger hole.

Can I make this ahead of time?

Yes! This is one of those cakes that actually gets better as it sits.

You will want to cover the cake and refrigerate it to let it cool completely after you put the caramel on for at least a few hours.

This will allow the cake to fully absorb the caramel.
