And friends, this cheesy dill pickle ramen noodles recipe turns a simple pack of noodles and turns it into something a little unexpected but still super easy to make.

The combination of creamy cheese and tangy dill pickle flavor might sound different, but it works in that salty, comforting, can’t stop eating it kind of way.

It doesn’t need any expensive ingredients and still comes together in just a few minutes, making it perfect for the busiest of days.

Ingredients

To make this you’ll need:

  • Ramen noodles– a 3.92 ounce package of cheesy ramen noodles with the seasoning packets.
  • Water– Do not drain the water after you have boiled the noodles
  • Cheese– One slice of American cheese
  • Dill pickle spears– Dice them up. You could also dice up sliced dill pickles.
  • Chili crisp– A Chinese hot sauce with bits of fried aromatics in it. You can find it in the Asian foods section in the grocery store or online here.

How to Make

These cheesy dill pickle ramen noodles are so easy to make!

Just add the water to a small pot and bring it to a boil.

Once the water boils, add the noodles and all of the seasoning packets to the water.

Give everything a good stir to combine.

Boil the noodles for 5 minutes, stirring them occasionally.

Take the pot off the heat but don’t drain of the excess water.

Add the slice of cheese into the pot and stir it just until the cheese is melted and smooth.

Stir in the diced pickles and chili crisp.

Ladle into bowls, serve immediately, and enjoy!

Storing Leftovers

If you have any leftovers, let them cool to room temperature.

Transfer them to an airtight container in the fridge.

Leftovers will keep for 4 days or so in the fridge.

Reheat them in the microwave when you are ready to enjoy them again.

Tips and Tricks

  • Can’t find chili crisp? You could use S&B Crunchy Garlic with Chili Oil or Trader Joe’s Chili Onion Crunch.  You could also make your own by combining store-bought fried garlic and fried onions with chili flakes, sesame seeds, and hot oil.
  • Not into the chunkier texture of chili crisp? Substitute sriracha.
  • Don’t drain the water at all! The cheese will thicken the sauce up nicely.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water Do NOT drain
  • 1 3.92 oz pkg cheesy ramen noodles WITH the seasoning packets
  • 1 slice American cheese
  • 2 dill pickle spears diced
  • 1 tsp chili crisp

Instructions

  • Add the water to a small pot and bring it to a boil.
    2 cups water
  • Once boiling add the noodles, along with all seasoning packets, to the water and stir to combine.
    1 3.92 oz pkg cheesy ramen noodles
  • Boil the noodles for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove the pot from the heat, but do NOT drain.
  • Add the slice of cheese to the pot, stirring just until melted and smooth.
    1 slice American cheese
  • Add the diced pickles and chili crisp, stirring again just until evenly combined.
    2 dill pickle spears, 1 tsp chili crisp
  • Ladle into bowls, serve immediately, and enjoy!
