Welcome to the first day of #EasterSweetsWeek. I’m so happy you’re here. This week-long event is hosted by Angie from Big Bear’s Wife. We’ve got a week’s worth of recipes for any dessert-lover, and giveaways too!
28 bloggers. Over 70 recipes. FIVE (yes, you did read that right) great giveaways. All brought to you at the end of each post. So keep scrollin’ after the recipe, you don’t wanna miss out on anything.
This is a party you’re guaranteed to walk away from with a few new refreshing favorites, perfect for an after dinner treat on Easter Sunday, or pretty much any day you need a sweet little pick me up.
Let’s kick this thing off the right way, starting with an amazingly indulgent dessert that’s also easy to whip up. Namely, these Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cadbury Egg Cookies.
Me? I’m not exactly sure what’s so special about Cadbury Chocolate Eggs. Then again, I’m also not a sweet/dessert-centric person. Normally. My husband and sons on the other hand, they hunt these bad boys down as soon as they are even remotely in season.
I mean hunt. them. down. As in setting off in different directions, hitting up different stores, and conferencing in between.
Naturally, I took pity on them this year and when I found them in bulk- I went ahead and stocked up! Like Costco-sized stocked up. So they should be good for the whole of Easter.
They don’t think I notice them grabbing handfuls here and there out of the bags, but I do. Don’t we Mom’s notice everything?! You’d have thought they caught on by now. It’s ok though, because I finally got smart enough to buy and hide my own bag, just to use to surprise them with yummy Easter-themed sweets. Bout time I caught on too, right?
Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cadbury Egg Cookies are this Easter Bunny’s favorite. Soft, fluffy, studded with chocolate chips & mini Cadbury eggs- these chocolate cookies are riddled with your favorite things. Load my basket up with a batch (or 2 or 3), and I’ll happily hop along.
Chocolate candy pieces and chocolate chips- they’re the tastiest treat to make any day a bit more special, but especially apt for after the Easter dinner.

I love those cadbury eggs, especially the dark chocolate ones, but I never thought to put them in cookies. Yum!
It took years for it to dawn on me, but they really do make the tastiest addition and add some flecks of pastel colors for Easter.
So Chocolate Chocolate Chip cookies are one of my favorite cookies ever and I LOVE Cadbury Eggs! These are going to be a new favorite! They look perfect!
Thanks, Angie- and mine too! What was that about great minds?!
