Italian Bruschetta Style Salsa
Italian bruschetta style salsa combines the texture of the classic dip with Italian flavors. You’ll love this on bread, tortilla chips, or even spooned onto pasta or grilled chicken.
We love salsa in this house.
Seriously we put it on everything and have been known to eat it right on a spoon.
This bruschetta style salsa combines our love of the dip with my husband’s Italian palate.
The result is a flavor packed combination of Italian ingredients that taste delicious on a piece of crostini or on a tortilla chip.
What is bruschetta salsa?
Bruschetta style salsa is a type of fresh salsa or salsa fresca similar to pico de gallo.
However instead of using southwestern or Mexican flavors it uses Italian flavor, like basil and red wine vinegar.
Ingredients
To make this you’ll need:
- Tomatoes– Roma tomatoes, seeded and diced.
- Red onion– Diced
- Peppers– Both a small green bell pepper and half a banana pepper, seeded and diced.
- Vinegar– Red wine
- Water– You could also use tomato juice
- Italian dressing seasoning– A packet of your favorite kind
- Olive oil– Don’t substitute another
- Basil– Cut into ribbons. You can adjust the amount if the leaves are small or to suit your tastes.
How to Make
This is so easy to make!
Just add all of the ingredients to a medium mixing bowl and toss it all together until it’s combined.
Refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours or until the mixture’s chilled through and the flavors have come together
Serve and enjoy!
Serving Suggestions
