Dipping Suggestions

This dip is so delicious you could eat it by the spoonful, but if you are looking to be more- ahem- civilized you could serve it with:

  • carrot and celery sticks
  • cucumber slices
  • pita chips
  • tortilla chips
  • potato chips
  • pretzels

You could even spread it on a sandwich in place of mayo!

Storing Leftovers

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Keep in mind the bacon will lose some of its crispiness the longer it sits in the dip in the fridge.

Can I make this ahead of time?

Yes!

Ideally you should make this dip 3 to 4 hours prior to serving so it has a chance to sit in the fridge and thicken up.

You could even make it a full day in advance.

However if you go that route, you may want to wait to stir in the bacon until just prior to serving so the bacon stays crispy.

Tips and Tricks

  • Don’t skip the chilling time! This is what lets the dip thicken so it doesn’t slide right off your dippers.
  • You can adjust the amount of horseradish depending on how much zip you want the dip to have.
  • The garnish is optional but makes a very pretty presentation.

Delicious!!!! So much better than store bought and easy to make!!! We did add a little more horseradish than what your recipe called for but we really like horseradish lol.

    1. Oh, that’s a wonderful idea! We make a sour cream horseradish sauce that we serve with roast beef/steak, but it never occurred to me to try using the dip instead. I see great things ahead…

    1. I used plain prepared horseradish, just the grated root stored in some vinegar. However, if the creamy version is what you have on hand or what you can find- you can absolutely use that. It just won’t have as much bite in the same amount called for. Taste it after incorporating, and if the dip isn’t tangy enough for you add just a tiny bit more.
