Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp dried dill weed
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients. Mix well.
1 cup sour cream, 1 cup mayonnaise, 2 tsp dried dill weed, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1/2 tsp salt
  • Chill for at least one hour before serving.
  • Serve with fresh veggies, slices of crusty bread, crackers, or pretzels.

Notes

  • Full fat sour cream is recommended for this so that the dip is thick & creamy. Substituting low or non fat will result in a runnier dip.
  • Make sure to use a mayonnaise that you know and like the taste of because the flavor will be pronounced in the finished product.
  • Freshly squeezed lemon juice is best, but the bottled kind will work too.
  • This dip was tested and written using dried dill weed, which is much stronger than fresh. If using fresh you'll need to use 2-3 tablespoons. Start with two, then taste before deciding if you need to add more.
