Mississippi Pot Roast Dip

Mississippi pot roast dip is an easy cold dip based on the flavors of the classic pot roast dinner. Gravy mix and ranch seasoning get mixed into a creamy sour cream mayonnaise base, perfect for serving with all your favorite dippers!

Ingredients

  • 16 oz sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 1 oz pkt au jus gravy mix
  • 1 1 oz pkt ranch seasoning mix
  • 3/4 cup diced pepperoncini peppers divided
  • 3 tbsp pepperoncini juice
  • assorted dipping options of your choice

Instructions

  • Add the sour cream, mayo, au jus seasoning, and ranch seasoning to a small mixing bowl. Whisk together until evenly combined.
    16 oz sour cream, 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1 1 oz pkt au jus gravy mix, 1 1 oz pkt ranch seasoning mix
  • Add 1/2 cup of the diced peppers to the dip, along with the juice. Stir in until everything is evenly combined.
    3/4 cup diced pepperoncini peppers, 3 tbsp pepperoncini juice
  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and spread out in an even layer.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 1-2 hours, until chilled through.
  • Uncover, give the dip a quick stir, then sprinkle the rest of the diced peppers on top.
  • Serve and enjoy with your favorite dipping options!

Notes

  • This dip is very salty due to the sodium in the seasoning packets. If sodium content is a concern for you, you could buy the low sodium au jus packets and sodium free ranch packets. They are available at some grocery stores or online.
  • Want to make it ahead of time? I often make it the morning I serve it and let it sit in the fridge until the evening. Just give it a good stir before you serve it.
  • I highly recommend the chill time to give the flavors a chance to meld and develop. However, if you are in a hurry, you can put it out right away and it will still be yummy!
