Sugar Plum Danishes (Starbucks Copycat)
Sugar plum danishes are a delicious copycat of the popular Starbucks treat. You don't need to be a master baker to put together this breakfast pastry! Perfect for Christmas morning!

- 2 count frozen puff pastry thawed
- 8 oz cream cheese softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar + extra for dusting
- 1 cup red plum jelly/jam
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 egg
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Slice each puff pastry sheet into 4 squares ( you will have 2 pieces leftover). Place a puff pastry square into each spot in a jumbo muffin tin.

In a mixing bowl using an electric mixer whip together the cream cheese and powdered sugar. Stir the cinnamon into the plum jelly.
8 oz cream cheese softened, 1/4 cup powdered sugar, 1 cup red plum jelly/jam, 1 tsp cinnamon
Divide the cream cheese between each puff pastry. Divide the red jelly between the 6 pastries.
Beat the egg with 1 tablespoon of water and brush onto the puff pastry.

Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Dust with more powdered sugar and serve!
- Make sure you let the cream cheese come up to room temperature first so it's easier to whip.
- You can add a teaspoon of vanilla to the cream cheese mixture for more flavor.
- These are delicious with powdered sugar dusted on top or you can be extra and make a glaze to drizzle on the top by mixing milk, powdered sugar, and vanilla together until it has a consistency similar to warm cream cheese frosting. Then drizzle that on top.
