Steak Teriyaki (Slow Cooker Recipe)

- 3 lbs stew beef
- 1 bottle teriyaki sauce
- 1 20 oz can pineapple tidbits drained
- 1 8 oz can water chestnuts drained (optional)
- 1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- steamed white rice for serving
Add the beef to the bowl of your slow cooker. Season with salt & pepper.

Add the pineapple & water chestnuts to the crock pot. Pour the teriyaki sauce evenly out over top. Stir gently to combine all of the ingredients.

Cook on low for 4-5 hours.
Turn the crockpot on high.
In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water to form a slurry. Pour the slurry into the pot, stirring to incorporate.

Allow the mixture to cook another 5-10 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
Ladle the cooked steak teriyaki over warm bowls of steamed white rice to serve.

- For quicker cooking cook on HIGH heat for 2-3 hours, just until the beef's cooked through and tender. Follow the slurry directions as instructed.
- Add some crushed red pepper flakes or a couple dashes of sriracha sauce to the mixture before cooking to infuse it with some heat.
- Serve over steamed white rice, and pair with a simple side like steamed broccoli or sauteed green beans to make it a full meal.
