Southern Coffee Punch
Southern coffee punch is a sweet coffee drink for a group. Scoops of ice cream and fluffy whipped cream sit on top of a punch bowl of a cold coffee. Perfect for parties and brunches!

- ½ cup sugar divided
- ¼ cup water
- 3 cups heavy whipping cream divided
- 8 cups cold coffee cold brew from the grocery store to save time
- 1 pint chocolate ice cream
- 1 pint vanilla ice cream
- Dark chocolate for topping optional
In a small saucepan over medium high heat, boil ¼ cup of the sugar and water until the sugar is dissolved; about 4-5 minutes, set aside to cool

In a large mixing bowl, whip 1 cup of the heavy cream and the remaining ¼ cup of granulated sugar until stiff peaks form, set aside until needed
3 cups heavy whipping cream
In a large punch bowl, stir together the cold coffee and 2 cups of the heavy cream. Add the sugar water and stir again.
8 cups cold coffee
Use an ice cream scoop to scoop the ice cream into the punch bowl and then stir to combine.
1 pint chocolate ice cream, 1 pint vanilla ice cream
Use a ladle to serve the coffee punch into small glasses, top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings
Dark chocolate for topping
- You can make the simple syrup ahead of time and just assemble the coffee punch right before serving.
- If you don't want to make homemade whipped cream, you can use store bought whipped cream or whipped topping instead.
- Feel free to use any flavor of ice cream you like paired with coffee. Other yummy options would be caramel, hazelnut, or even cookies and cream.
