nonstick cooking spray, 1 1/2 - 2 tbsp barbecue rub
Spray the chips again with nonstick spray, then sprinkle the remaining rub evenly out overtop.
Smoke at 225° for 1 1/2 - 2 hours, shaking the tray halfway through.
Carefully remove the hot tray from the smoker, and allow the chips to cool completely.
Serve & enjoy!
- This recipe easily doubles, or even triples, if you're trying to feed more than just a few people- especially at a Summer barbecue.
- Wood smoke will leave tough concentrated stains on any dishes used which can be difficult to remove, so I recommend using a disposable 9x13" aluminum pan.
- Be sure to use a barbecue rub you like because the flavor will be prominent.
- You can easily make several tray of these chips at one time depending on how much space is in your smoker, so you'll have them to enjoy all week long.
