To a disposable 9x13" aluminum baking dish add the green beans, soup, milk, soy sauce, seasonings, and 1 1/3 cups of fried onions. Stir until evenly combined, then spread the mixture out in an even layer.
4 14.5 oz cans green beans, 2 10.5 oz cans cream of mushroom soup, 1 cup whole milk, 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce, salt & pepper, 3/4 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp onion powder, 2 2/3 cups french fried onions
Smoke, uncovered, at 350° for 30 minutes. Carefully spread the remaining onions evenly out overtop of the casserole, and continue smoking for another 15 minutes- just until hot & bubbly and the onions on top are crispy.
Serve warm & enjoy!
- Since this casserole is heavy I recommend doubling up on the pans to give it more stability when hot and removing from the smoker.
- Can be made in the oven with a dash of liquid smoke mixed in to give it that same smoked flavor.
- Give it a gourmet spin by substituting homemade french fried onions on top. However, skip mixing them in the casserole and just use them on top.
