Butter the insides of the hamburger buns, and place them onto a baking sheet-- buttered side up. Sprinkle a pinch of Italian seasoning over the buns and put them in the oven, under the broiler, just until they're toasted and golden brown. Leave the bottom buns on the baking sheet, set aside the tops.
Prepare the beef patties according to the package directions. Transfer each cooked patty to a corresponding bottom bun.
Liberally sprinkle shredded mozzarella onto each patty. If desired, pop the burgers into the oven, again under the broiler, just until the cheese is melted.
Spread 2-3 tablespoons of sauce out over the cheese on each burger. Top the sauce with a few slices of pepperoni and then cap the burger by putting their top buns on.
Serve immediately, and enjoy!
