Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

  • Add both the cinnamon and sugar to a small bowl.
1 1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon, 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • Whisk together until evenly combined.
  • Use and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can adjust the cinnamon, to taste. More ground cinnamon will give a deeper, stronger finished flavor and less will yield more of a subtle hint.
  • Be sure you're using granulated sugar and not some other kind like powdered or brown.
  • If you live in a humid climate, you can add a food grade moisture absorber to the cinnamon sugar before storing to prevent it from clumping up and sticking together in between uses.
  • Stir a spoonful into your morning coffee in place of plain sugar for a cozy start to the day.
  • Homemade cinnamon sugar makes a great edible gift idea, and the recipe easily doubles or triples to make a larger batch. After whisking it together, transfer the mixture to small, decorative jars for a pretty presentation.
