Ingredients

For The Sweet Iced Tea

  • Favorite black tea
  • Sugar
  • Ice

For The Lemonade

  • 1 3/4 cups white sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh squeezed lemon juice any seeds removed
  • 1 cup water room temperature
  • 7 cups chilled water

Instructions

To Make The Sweet Iced Tea

  • Bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  • Remove from heat and pour over tea bag (I used family size).
  • Brew for 5 minutes, squeeze tea bag and discard.
  • Add ¾ cup of sugar, stir until dissolved.
  • Add 1 cup of ice and stir until melted.

To Make The Lemonade

  • In a small saucepan, stir together the sugar and 1 cup of water. Bring the mixture to a boil and continue stirring until all the sugar has dissolved. Remove the pan from heat and allow the syrup to cool down to room temperature.
  • Stir the cooled syrup and the lemon juice into the remaining, chilled water until completely incorporated.

To Make The Popsicles

  • Fill your popsicle molds 3/4 of the way with the sweet tea.
  • Add lemonade to the molds until the mixture has reached the fill line.
  • Use a stirrer to gently stir the mixture to combine.
  • Insert sticks and freeze. Run under warm water for a few seconds to release the frozen pops from their molds when ready to eat.
  • Enjoy immediately!

Notes

  • Don't feel like making tea and lemonade from scratch? Substitute with your favorite store brands instead!
  • Depending on if you like your tea on the stronger side, you can use as many tea bags or as few as fit your personal tastes.
  • Be sure to let both the tea and lemonade cool to room temperature before adding to the popsicle molds to prevent melting the plastic.
