Ingredients

  • 3 Cups White Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Unsulphured Molasses

Instructions

  • Place the sugar and molasses in the food processor and blend on high for 1 minute.
3 Cups White Granulated Sugar, 1/4 cup Unsulphured Molasses
  • Remove half of the sugar out of the food processor into a bowl. Continue blending the other half of the sugar that remains in the processor for about another minute or until no major molasses lumps are left.
  • Remove the sugar from the processor and place it in its own bowl.
  • Place the sugar you set aside, in the processor and blend for a minute or until no major molasses lumps remain.
  • Combine both sets of sugar and enjoy!

Notes

  • Unsulphured molasses is the regular dark molasses you find in grocery stores.
  • You can increase or decrease the recipe as needed just make sure you keep the ratio of sugar to molasses the same. So if you wanted to make only 1.5 cups of brown sugar, reduce the molasses to 1/8 cup. If you wanted to make 6 cups, then you'd use 1/2 cup of molasses and so on.
  • There may be molasses lumps in your brown sugar and that's ok. It won't hurt anything or change the outcome of whatever you are making. If you don't want them there though, just keep blending them until they are gone.
