Garlic Herbed Buttered Noodles

These herbed buttered noodles are a simple, comforting side dish made with tender pasta and an assortment of herbs. An easy, family friendly recipe that pairs well with almost any meal or even serves as a meal on it

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces uncooked egg noodles
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp dried dill weed
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme

Instructions

  • Cook the egg noodles according to the package directions.

  • Meanwhile, in a large skillet, melt butter. Stir in the garlic, salt, dill and thyme.
    3 tbsp butter, 1 tsp minced garlic, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp dried dill weed, 1/4 tsp dried thyme
  • Drain the cooked noodles and add to butter mixture and toss to coat.
  • Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • This makes a delicious, kid friendly main dish or a side dish for any protein you like.
  • You can change the herbs based on your preferences, what you have available or what main dish you are serving with the noodles.
  • Other yummy herbs to try in this recipe include dried basil, oregano, and rosemary. If you have fresh parsley, you could also add that at the end.
  • No butter? Use an equal amount of olive oil. While the noodles won't be buttery then, they'll still be delicious.
