- 8 oz can plain tomato sauce
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/4 tsp chili powder
- 1 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1 1/2 tsp dried minced onion
- 1/2 tbsp distilled vinegar
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- pinch garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Add all of the ingredients to a skillet set over medium low heat. Whisk very well to evenly combine everything and help the spices dissolve.
8 oz can plain tomato sauce, 1/3 cup water, 1/4 tsp chili powder, 1 1/2 tsp cumin, 1 1/2 tsp dried minced onion, 1/2 tbsp distilled vinegar, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, pinch garlic salt, 1/4 tsp paprika, 1/4 tsp sugar, 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Simmer on low heat, covered so that the liquid doesn't evaporate, for 15 minutes- stirring occasionally. Remove the skillet from heat and allow the sauce to cool completely.
Serve & enjoy!
- You can sub tomato juice for the tomato sauce.
- Prefer a hotter version? Add a little bit of hot jalapeno juice for an extra kick.
- Give the sauce a taste while it's cooking and adjust the seasoning to your liking.
