  • 1 1/2 tsp dried minced onion
  • 1/2 tbsp distilled vinegar

  • pinch garlic salt

8 oz can plain tomato sauce, 1/3 cup water, 1/4 tsp chili powder, 1 1/2 tsp cumin, 1 1/2 tsp dried minced onion, 1/2 tbsp distilled vinegar, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, pinch garlic salt, 1/4 tsp paprika, 1/4 tsp sugar, 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Simmer on low heat, covered so that the liquid doesn't evaporate, for 15 minutes- stirring occasionally. Remove the skillet from heat and allow the sauce to cool completely.
  • Serve & enjoy!

Notes

  • You can sub tomato juice for the tomato sauce.
  • Prefer a hotter version? Add a little bit of hot jalapeno juice for an extra kick.
  • Give the sauce a taste while it's cooking and adjust the seasoning to your liking.
