Air Fryer Chicken Cutlets

Air fryer chicken cutlets let you make a lighter version of fried chicken cutlets. With just 10 minutes of prep and a short cook time, these can be on your table so fast!

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breast cutlets
  • 1/2 cup unseasoned panko bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Add the flour to a plate, the bread crumbs and garlic powder to another, and the egg to a bowl.
    1/2 cup unseasoned panko bread crumbs, 1/4 cup flour, 1 large egg, 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Season the egg with salt & pepper, then whisk until smooth.

  • Pat the chicken dry using paper towel then dredge one piece in the flour, turning to coat completely. Shake off any excess.

  • Transfer to the chicken to the egg again turning to coat. Let the excess drip off, then transfer to bread crumbs- turn to coat completely and press in, if needed. Transfer to a waiting plate, and repeat until all the chicken's coated.
  • Generously spray the basket of an air fryer, then add two cutlets. Spray the tops of the chicken with cooking spray.
  • Air fry at 390° for 10 minutes, flipping half way through. Transfer to plates, and repeat for the second batch.
  • Serve & enjoy!

Notes

  • Cook time may vary based on the thickness of your chicken, so always cook to temp rather than just time.
  • DO NOT over cook. Cutlets are thin so they cook quickly, and you don't want it to dry out.
  • Want to add some flavor to your chicken? Whisk your favorite seasonings into the bread crumbs before coating the chicken.
