Ingredients

For The Steak Bites

  • 1 16 oz top sirloin filet trimmed of fat & cut into 1/2 - 3/4" chunks
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp each salt & pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder

For The Garlic Butter

  • 1 1/2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes optional
  • 1/4 tsp parsley flakes optional

Instructions

  • Add the pieces of steak to a mixing bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and toss to evenly coat.
1 16 oz top sirloin filet, 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Add the seasonings to a small bowl, whisking together until evenly combined. Sprinkle the seasonings evenly over the steak, then toss until evenly combined.
1/2 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp each salt & pepper, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400° for 5 minutes then transfer the seasoned steak bites into the hot basket (you should hear an audible sizzle) in a single layer. Cook for 5-6 minutes, just until the steak's reached your desired level of done-ness.
  • Mix together the garlic butter ingredients then toss it with the cooked steak bites.
1 1/2 tbsp butter, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes, 1/4 tsp parsley flakes
  • Serve warm & enjoy!

Notes

  • This recipe can be doubled or tripled, but you will need to cook in batches to avoid over crowding the basket and affecting the results. Air fryers rely on the hot air being able to circulate freely around the food to cook properly.
  • The air fryer should be preheated to the point where you hear should hear an audible sizzle when you put in the steak pieces. This is key to getting that seared taste and texture.
  • Feel free to adjust the seasonings to your taste.
