Ingredients

  • 12-14 cups chopped pears
  • 1 1/2 - 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon optional
  • 1/3-1/2 cup sugar optional

Instructions

  • Add all of the chopped fruit to the bowl of your Instant Pot.
  • Pour the water over the fruit, and (if using) sprinkle the cinnamon & sugar evenly out over top.
  • Add the lid, closing it, and turning the vent valve to the sealed position.
  • Pressure cook on HIGH for 5 minutes, then carefully open the vent valve to perform a quick release. Be careful to avoid the HOT steam.
  • Once all the pressure's been released, carefully open the lid, and let the steam clear.
  • Using an immersion blender, blend the pear sauce until the smoothness has reached your desired consistency.
  • Serve warm, or refrigerate and serve cold.
