Ingredients

  • 2 8 oz blocks cream cheese softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 20 oz can apple pie filling
  • Caramel syrup to garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Cream together cream cheese and sugar until smooth, with a hand-held mixer.
  • Add in vanilla and heavy cream and beat until thick.
  • Layer cheesecake mixture and apple pie filling in small jars, alternating cheesecake and apple pie filling.
  • Top with caramel sauce drizzel.
  • Serve them immediately, or refrigerate until ready to do so.

Notes

  • Are you looking to make an otherwise indulgent dessert a little bit leaner? Use fat free cream cheese or the Neufchatel variety to shave some calories off this post-dinner treat.
  • Don’t have apple pie filling? No worries! Any flavor of pie filling will work. You can even use pumpkin pie filling, just whip it first so it’s fluffy and aerated.
  • Want to really take out all the stops? Sprinkle a little ground cinnamon out over the top of the finished parfaits just before serving. A cinnamon stick stuck into the top of each jar will also add a nice finishing touch.
