Bloody Mary Deviled Eggs

Bloody Mary deviled eggs take the classic appetizer and combine them with all the flavors of the infamous drink. The yolks get mixed with classic mayonnaise and a zesty combination of horseradish, tomato paste, and a blend of seasonings to mimic the spice of the drink.

Ingredients

  • 1 dozen hard boiled eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayo
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese softened
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp spicy horseradish
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • dash worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup bacon bits
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 tsp celery seed
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/3 cup old bay seasoning
  • sliced olives for garnish

Instructions

  • Using a sharp paring knife, carefully cut the eggs in half lengthwise. Pop the yolks out into a waiting mixing bowl. Set the whites aside.
  • Use a whisk to smash/break up the yolks into tiny pieces, then whisk the filling together until smooth.
  • Add the old bay seasoning to a flat plat. Then dip the top of each egg white into the seasoning, then transfer it to a waiting serving plate- repeating until all egg whites have been coated.
  • Spoon, or pipe, the yolk mixture evenly out into the cavities of each egg white.
  • Top the bloody mary deviled eggs with the sliced olives for garnish, and serve.

Notes

  • To make it less spicy, use a milder horseradish and reduce the hot sauce.
  • These are yummy at times other than brunch as well.
  • You could even add several of these to a long skewer and top off a Bloody Mary with them as a garnish!
