Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cadbury Egg Cookies

A soft and fluffy cookie, this one features a beloved Easter candy plus chocolate and chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup crisco
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup Dixie Crystals granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp Adams extract vanilla
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 cup flour
  • 6 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 10 oz bag Cadbury Mini-Eggs, a couple removed, the rest roughly chopped/smashed
  • 1/2- 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • In the bowl of a stand mixer, add the butter, crisco, and both sugars. Whip until smooth.
  • Add in eggs, one at at a time, and the vanilla. Mixing, just until smooth and incorporated.
  • In a separate, large mixing bowl add the flour, soda, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder. Use a fork, and mix until evenly incorporated.
  • Stir in the butter mixture until evenly combined. Stir in the candies until evenly combined.
  • Roll 2 tbsp worth of dough together into a ball. Place it onto a baking tray prepared with non stick spray or a baking sheet. Repeat and account for spreading with placement. If you want a pretty presentation, press an egg and a few chocolate chips into the top of the cookie dough.
  • Bake the cookies at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
